Scandiasoft is a small company started by veterans of the corporate software industry. Our founders worked at various leading software companies in the northwest. Scandiasoft's first procucts were specialized tools for the tester/developer/maintenance worker. As our business grew we became more focused on creating custom solutions for our existing customers.
Today we concentrate on building custom software for you.
About our name
Scandia is a tiny community situated in the midst of the breathtaking beauty of the Olympic Peninsula - located in the Pacific Northwest region of the USA. Surrounded on both sides by the Puget Sound waterway and equal distance from the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges it is a inspiring place to locate a software company.
We believe that software programming is a craft, practiced by skilled artisans. When we started our company we looked for a location away from the bustle of the urban centers and closer to the rural roots that have inspired so many emigrants to our country. Scandia was a perfect place to house our new endeavor. Originally settled by pioneers from northern Europe, Scandia and the surrounding towns were built and homesteaded by hard working families. Quiet and serene yet close to the Seattle/Redmond software industry it melds the benefits of both worlds. Located in an area with access to high speed networking and with the availability of modern mobile workers our company was ready.
Scandiasoft seemed a perfect name to reflect these ideals.
